Carolingia’s second best known collection of ruffians and scoundrels, the Low Company of Gamesters and Gamblers, invites you to join them in person for a night of carousing, conviviality, and light erudition. We will study games from the period, all the better to understand the ways to fleece, er…… to understand the strategies of the games and to enjoy the friendly contest therein.
Low Company typically meets the second Friday of every other month to study, discuss, reconstruct, and play games from the pre-1600’s world. Card games, board games, dice games, and lawn games from all around the globe are, pardon the pun, fair game. All are welcome.
Meetings are held at the home of Symon and Deirdre. Deirdre often prepares a meal which starts around 6:30, games start around 7:30 and go until around 10pm. Please reach out to Symon to request the address and/or RSVP for dinner.
