Eadgyth aet Staeningum – Inkle-woven belt

Eadgyth aet Staeningum – Inkle-woven belt

An inkle-woven belt, in a pickup design using both heddled and unheddled warp threads. About 1″ wide by 1 5/8 yards long. Crochet cotton (green and pale blue warp, brown weft) because I have plenty of it and it’s easy to work with as a learning weave; I’ve made plain-weave pieces in various fibers, but I’d only tried pickup once before and the complexity of this pattern was somewhat intimidating. Completed April 2020.
