Carolingian Foresters

It’s spring! Bees are buzzing, birds are singing, trees are leafing, and flowers are blooming. After talking about using natural materials for crafting cordage, baskets, and more, we’ll take a bit of a walk around our property to gather what you need to try your hand. I’ll also have some cut branches and saplings if anyone wants to try a lashing project. As usual, we can also do fire-starting and outdoor cooking so bring what you’ll need for those, as well as feast gear to partake of the bounty.
WHO: You! Whether you’re new to the SCA or a long-time card-carrying member, a forester or just curious or just want to hang out with us, we hope you’ll come!
WHERE: Patty & Dave’s house, 86 Heald St, Pepperell MA 01463
WHEN: Saturday, May 10, 1-5 pm
WHY: Have fun in the great outdoors, hang out with some great folks, and try something new.
WEAR: Forester’s garb if you have it, medieval garb if you don’t, and regular clothing if you don’t have that.
BRING: a camp chair, forest gear, equipment for whatever you want to do, bug spray, sun lotion
PARKING: please pull well into the driveway and far to left or right so we can squeeze more folks in. You can also park in the drive across the street: pull up or down the slope so others can park next to you. It can be dangerous to park along the street; if the drives are full, park up the hill in the conservation parking lot on the left, then walk down the hill.
