- Canton of Aschehyrst: Lady Dierdre announces that Aschehyrst is going temporarily dormant, to be reconsidered in September. They are considering ceding Fighter Practice to the Barony.
- Canton of the Towers: Master Ivan introduced himself.
- Chatelaine: Aaradyn notes that not all of our newcomers use Facebook, so please use the email lists. If you are organizing a thing that does not happen year-round, please take it off the calendar when it is not happening. Post the fee for your practice, if there is one, on the calendar. To post events on the calendar, if you are a guildhead or officer, talk to Symon to arrange calendar access. If not, talk to Symon to have your event posted.
- Chronicler: Kendrick says that the Minuscule just came out. He refers to the calendar in putting the Minuscule together, but would appreciate being notified of things so they can be included.
- Clerk of the Stable: not present. What is this office? Ride coordinator. Eadgyth is reported to be looking for a replacement.
- Dance: Fortunata makes cookies for dance practice! People have fun, come join in! Practice will continue through May.
- Exchequer: We have money, ask Orlando if you need some of it.
- Historian: Eowyn says, “We think, therefore we are”. History is happening; this involves sorting things into boxes.
- Knight Marshal: not present, people report that fighting is happening indoors.
- Liber: Dreda says the Liber has been moved from FileMaker to Excel — yay! If you have not heard from her, let her know. She reads a list (appended below) of people for whom contact information is needed. Dreda has been carefully hand-checking and cleaning up the data, which is a pain in the tuchus. Other Baronies don’t maintain this kind of data. Thanks to her efforts, it is now better! Please keep your own data up-to-date! Dreda solicits someone to take on the job of Liber editor, and asks whether the Liber is a good thing to maintain going forward.
- Marshal of Fence: not present, Kassandra reports that a recent practice was held and it was good.
- Thrown Weapons: Symon reports that the range will soon be ready for use.
- Webminister: The Aschehyrst web site and emails will be rerouted to the Baronial ones.
- Chancellor Minor: The Deputy Chancellor Minor is now official. Deputy reports that there will be children’s activities at Coronation. Young people who want to retain are welcomed. Family Point is being organized for Otter’s Welcome.
- Baronial Orders:
- Daystar will meet today after Council.
- Moon will meet at Otter’s Welcome.
- Perseus principal not present; Baron Thomas reports that the Order would like more feedback.
- Calligraphers: Aaradyn says that the Calligraphers have moved from monthly to quarterly meetings. Next will be paint and gum arabic with Leonete, not yet scheduled. Soliciting ideas for a museum trip.
- Cooks: Zohane reports that the Cooks just had a meeting, and will meet again in late April, TBA
- Waytes: Ysabel says: come play music with us! Now is a good time to jump in if you have been thinking about it.
- Low Company: Met last Friday; ate good food and played fun games.
- Mini-Thimble: working on Her Majesty’s favors, come have dinner and stitch with us.
- Middle Eastern Dance: Thursday nights at the War Memorial with fencing. ME dance will be taught a week from Wednesday, April 10, in Aschehyrst at the Plymoth Church (walk past the fighters).
- Otter’s Welcome: just a month away!
- Need volunteers for setup/breakdown and parking, also Ambassadors (mini-Chatelaines for the day). We have some children who will be children’s ambassadors! Email the Chatelaine address; you’ll wear a green baldric.
