For Events, updated Gate Policy:
– For Royal Progresses and Kingdom Events
-Gate must be open until court OR a contact number must be left for people to fill out gate paperwork and pay.
– For all Events
– Gate closing time must be posted in advance.
– When gate closes there must be an obvious sign saying NO ENTRY
Gate option:
– It is possible to leave a contact information i.e. cell phone, and people coming after gate closes can call / text the number and be met at gate to fill out forms and pay entrance fee.
– EVERYONE who attends an event must either be a member or sign a waiver. If there is a site token, it must be prominently displayed

My three-year term is coming to an end in November, and I am planning to step down then. I have already put out a request for a Deputy-successor and have had some responses.
Mundanely, the Bar Exam is at the end of this month (July 28th and 29th). Because of that, I am declaring that I will be accessible only for Emergencies from July 15th through to the end of the month.

THUNK! Thrown Weapons practice continues Saturdays from 10:00-1:00 at Deirdre and Symon’s in Framingham. Please PM if you need the exact address. Thrown Weapons is throwing axes, knives, spears, and other sharp pointy things at targets. No experience is needed, and we are happy to teach. Loaner weapons are available. Youth 5 and over are welcome.
While practice is planned to be weekly as usual (including during Pennsic), please watch the Carolingian email list for announcements of when the property is unavailable, which includes this Saturday (7/11). Symon and Deirdre are moving, although they aren’t going far. Great thanks go to Deidre and Symon for sharing their yard with the Barony and hosting practice for many years.
Information about a new practice site will be shared when it is known.
