Chancellor Minor Master Cristoff Gockerhan von Loch
Sugawara: We are in desperate need of a new chancellor minor. We do have someone interested, but they are not able to handle some of the duties and would need an appropriate deputy, or to be a deputy.

Chatelaine Lord Thorfinn of Thescorre

It was a relatively quiet month. We did hear back from Arisia, we have the potential to table there. More information to come, but if you are interested in helping us table, let us know.

We did get an e-mail asking for a garb loan for a middle school class. E-mails went out to interested parties, and the response has been mildly positive. We are checking with the council.
Eadgyth: What would be loaning?

T: A limited selection of youth garb.

General approval.
Sugawara: Proceed

T: There was a small rennaisance fair at Bow Market. We showcased fencing, heavy, and A&S, and there was dance in the evening. We received a lot of attention. Thanks to everyone who came out.

?: I had a lot of positive feedback on the A&S side, with multiple people reaching out to me for more information. While the combat attracted people, A&S seems to be what held their attention.

Eeowyn: It should be pointed out that our demo was part of a larger medeival thing. At least one SCA individual from elsewhere made contact that way.

Golden Gryphon Pursuivant Lady Orsina Della Luna:

Lord Eon Broc

Low Company Master Justin du Coeur

Meeting Friday Jan 9th. 4 and 7 player tables.

Needleworkers Lord Donato Favro

Meeting next Wednesday, Dec 10th, in Framingham, at fighter practice.

Foresters: Lady Ella de Calais
Arlyana Van Wyck: Sunday December 7th in Pepperell, 2-5. The focus will be leatherworking, making a simple pouch and maybe some other basic skills. The meeting will be mostly indoors, with cocoa out by the fire afterwords.

Events:

Crown Tourney: We had crown tourney. It went very well.

Aradyn: It was the most succesful event you could have. No injuries, no extra paperwork, 301 attendees. Carolingian share $1660. Two refunds went out because people paid twice. Not a lot of kids in attendance.
The site has contacted us and said we are welcome back any time, we were off site with 5 minutes to spare. Huge thank you to Valerian for his assistance, and to everyone else who volunteered on staff.

Frithuric: As far as the site, what windows might be available for the site?

Valerian: The group we rent from has it from the first week of November through the winter. Their schedule does have opening, but it’s not a cheap site. It’s suitable for large, kingdom level events.

Aaradyn: The site fee is $3,850.

Sugawara: The site contact for the church in Sudbury has also reached out and is interested.

Otters Welcome: Thorfinn of Thescorre.

We have been trying to find a site closer into the core instead of Veasy Park. We managed to reestablish contact with the Walpole German club, and we are proposing June 6th, as a donation only event. We’re still organizing the event, but A&S and heavy list champions are possibilities, as well as the usual stuff.
Eeowyn: Is this a day only event, or is there an evening component.

T: At present we are still looking into the feasibility of dayboard, no evening portion is planned.

Valerian: They are renting to outside groups, and we’ve been coordinating with their new rentals manager, but it is a process.

Donato: Is fire permitted?

Valerian: They’ve historically been open to that, but I will follow up.

Arlyanna: Can we have archery there?

V: I’ve asked specifically, but haven’t heard back yet.

A: How expensive is the site.

V: I haven’t heard back yet. In the past we’ve had relatively inexpensive access due to the bar profits, but it might be somewhere around $1600.

S: Our take in from last Otters was around $1700.

Eadgyth: Make sure we get this up on the planning calendar ASAP, because dates after memorial day fill up quickly.

Thorfinn: We checked the kingdom calendar and there are a few weekends that have historically been available.

Fiore: Frithuric is putting it on the kingdom calendar as we speak.

Sug: We have a bid for Otters, do we want to proceed.

Council: Generally approved.

Sugawara: There is a possible demo at the council on aging in Georgetown, MA. I am working with someone to see if they can coordinate it. More information later.

Eeowynn: When?

S: Still completely up in the air.

General announcements:

Fiore: This weekend is the MA independent comic expo. Fuller building of BU. Completely free. Lots of artists, lots of classes. https://www.micexpo.org/
