To all those interested in the stewardship of events: the next meeting of the Autocrats’ Roundtable will be the evening of April 20th, from 7:30 – 9:30pm. This will be a virtual meeting — to join, go to https://meet.google.com/ush-vumj-fip.
This one isn’t going to be quite as strictly run as our last meeting, but there are several topics I’d like to include:
- Lessons that we have been learning as we begin to run in-person events again. This is a chance for a bit of general debrief and discussion, so that we can improve our habits.
- Resources for autocrats. There have been a number of guidebooks written over the years, so let’s share those, and talk about useful websites and other stuff that would be helpful to know about.
- Brainstorming and workshopping event ideas. What would be fun to try? What are some ideas for easier first events, for folks who want to dip their toes into the water?
Everyone is welcome — no prior event-running experience is required, just an interest in how events work. Come on by, and bring your thoughts on these and related topics!
