Coronets Nobildonna Fiore Leonetta Bardi and Lord Frithuric Ulman:
Great Carolingia, we Frithutic and Fiore are unable to attend. Congrats to all who revceived awards. Remy Rapier, etc.
The first poll for their highnesses is due by midnight.
Due to a lack of organizer, we will not be having Otter’s welcome this year.
Many are struggling to come to grips with real world events. It’s hard to priortize.
Officers:
Seneschal Lady Sugawara no Naeme
I still need deputies, an emergency deputy and a steup up deputy. If you were in attendance in Curia, it will be continuing Thursday the 13th. Let me know if you have any additional input.
Please conduct business through the seneschal e-mail.
Ysabel: Where did Curia stop?
Eadgyth: We got up to the section on officers, and I think we got through that. I will have to check my notes. Section 3 got deferred (restructure of Curia). A date will be scheduled, separate from the officers reports on the 13th. I hope to have it sorted out in the next couple of days.

Chancellor of the Exchequer Kara Irini bin Todori
This is my last official meeting as exchequer. Cathain will be stepping in by March. Warranting is complete, bank processes will be happening. I will be remaining as a deputy.
We ended the year with $23,300.83 in the bank. There are a few stale checks that need to reissued. We did take a small loss for the year, $172.54, due to one big event we knew was a risk. Thank you everyone for working with me, and I won’t disappear.
Sugawara: Thank you for your service, and thanks Cathain for stepping up.
Chancellor Minor Master Cristoff Gockerhan von Loch and Lady Stephanie Leatherfoot L’Huissier

Chatelaine Master Justin de Coeur
Been a busy month for the chatelaine. There a couple of new folks in the meeting. This is a boring business meeting.
A couple of folks have stepped up as deputies.
Thorfinn: I’ve been looking for a way to give back, and this seemed like a good opportunity. I’m primarily a heavy fighter.
Revna Eirikdottir: My dad’s been in the society for a quite a while, and I’ve been asked about taking the role and had been putting it off, but I will be stepping up now.
Newcomers night will be happening as usual. Please point newcomers in that direction.
Golden Gryphon Pursuivant Lord Richard Heyworth:

Gold Key Lord Orlando dei Medici

Knight Marshal Master Valerian of Somerset
Framingham practice is going well on Wednesday evenings. 12-15 in armor consistently, including new people. Year round, except TG and Christmas.
Fish: A new practice has been started in 7-10 weekly on Tuesdays. 5 in armor, 6-7 total. We’d like to see fencers as well. The Canton is helping with some of the fees.
We’re trying to work on signage outside. I was wondering if I could borrow one of the SCA sandwich boards until we make a new one.
Stew: I don’t see why not.
No other updates.
Minister of Arts & Sciences Mistress Isabel del Okes
Kingdom A&S championship is coming up, reach out if you need help. I am hoping to start doing a couple of arts conversations, as I am hoping to get more people involved in A&S.
Web Minister Lady Elspeth of Ruthven
Elspeth, I am the webminister for Carolingia. I am responsible for the website and email and such. I have had an offer of help in making the website more accesible for newcomers. The calendar on the website does not appear to be up to date. I am happy to work with people to get access to the calendar if needed.
Emmet and I are both full time law students, so please be patient.
Chronicler Lady Ysabel da Costa:
I am the chronicler for the barony, which means I publish the quarterly newsletter. If you have any items to include, the next issue will be out in March. Let me know.
Dance Master Justin de Coeur
I am stepping back in as lead dance master, although I am hoping this can be a team project. As part of this, I would like to get dance practice back together again. The current plan is to run dance practice on a monthly basis. Make it a little more special, so we get more people. We have a site lined up. It’s 6 minutes from the bus, less than 20 from Harvard Square by foot. It has a nice big gym available. Other activities could likely share the same space. It is not free. We are getting a discount because Aaradyn works there, but it’s $100 per session. We currently have every third Tuesday reserved, offset one week from Quintavia dance practice. On Brattle near Brattle and Sparks. Doors open at 7, dance 7:30-9:30.
Eeowyn: What’s the parking situation there?
There are about 20 parking spaces there, which should be sufficient for the immediate future, and nearby street parking.
Based on previous conversations, the first dance practice will be Feb 18, 7:30-9:30.
Historian Mistress Eowyn Eilownwy of Alewife Brook
Two things going on: Thorfinn, I got your message, I am working on it, I will attempt to get back to your shortly.
My deputy has retired. Aaradyn has been my deputy since 2021, so she could digitize the records, which she has mundane experience in. We moved them a couple of times, unfortunately, since she became seneschal, it got deprioritized. Now that she is no longer seneschal, she needs some time away from being an officer of any sort. The material will be transferred to storage by Gudrun, and at some point in the future, Aaradyn may be able to return to the digitizing project, but this is not certain.
She did down select extra copies of multiple publications, reducing the total volume.
Rapier Marshal Lord Zohane Faber
Marshal Archery Master Peter the Red
Marshal Thrown Weapons Lord Pandaulf of Fenmere
Minister of the Lists Lord Trentus Nubianus
Steward Lady Gudrun Thorvaldsdottir
I updated u-haul, Sugawara is now listed as having access to storage, and should have all necessary things. Sug: Missing the code, we can coordinate later.
We are missing a pop up trashcan.
I am planning to contact known feast and event heads to rationalize inventory. This will be followed by a general commentary. There are things I would like to get out, such as the maypole top not used for 10 years.
Maegwyyn: I have the trash can.
Glad to hear it.

Events:
Falling Leaves Maegwynn.: I have reached out to the site and we have secured it for Sept 6. We have put down a deposit, same price as last year. The open question is whether we want to open it as a Royal progress. We have also been asked if we want to put in a bid for equestrian champs.
Cathain: Right now Bergental is attempting to put together a site, but its not certain, and there are no other suitable sites. The community would love to have a joust regardless of champs.
If we do champs, and a joust can still happen, we are enthusiastic about it.
If we do a dayboard, we will need help.
Suga: We will need a budget for the financial committee for final approval.
Majority approves.
Eleanor: It works well for EK champs, make sure there are horse waivers.
General announcements:
Informal discussion of council format.
