Carolingia no longer needs to look for a deputy Chatelaine, but a full Chatelaine. Patience will be stepping down at the end of the month. Please feel free to contact Patience if you are interested, or just want to know what the job entails.
Aaradyn: Thanks Patience for her serviced.

It’s been a while since we’ve had dance. We have been seeing a downtrend in dancers, even before the pandemic, and we would like to counter that. There will be a survey coming out asking what prevents you from coming to dance practice.

Events Reports:
Rapier Championships Lord Zohane Faber
The weather was perfect. The bathrooms did not flood, this was good. 31 attendees. 2 non-members. 10 fencers. Katla and Matilda ran gate. The site cost $350 including insurance. Income, after NMS, was $310, a $40 deficit will be blamed on Covid. No children were present :(.
Upcoming Events
Falling Leaves Lady Katla of Viborg for Lady Patience Faircloth
We have lost the list of people who were interested in producing box lunches. Please reach out again, as there is information ready to send out.
50 Year No updates expected for the rest of the summer.
Other Business
Her Excellency: The finalist who did not become the rapier champion received an gorgeous ring made by Zippy, and he has volunteered to make similar items. He is not charging anything for his time, but would appreciate funds for the raw material. $171 for a 6.6 lb bar, approximately half of which would be used for the immediate usage.
Cassandra: It’s possible that rings or similar items could be auctioned to offset the cost.
Ysabel: Maybe pay for a whole bar, and donate a portion to Zippy for his labor.
Frithuric: Do we know how many medallions that amount could make?
Fiore: This was mentioned, but I don’t remember the exact numbers. It seemed reasonable for the price.
Aaradyn: Are we in a position to buy the tin?
Irini: Yes.
Aaradyn: A show of hands?
Council approves.
Irini: If all relevant people will be at GNEW, we can cut a check there.
Frithuric: Gunthorm posted the miniscule to a dropbox which prevented sending a large attachement. This worked well, but the possibility of posting it to the website was mentioned. This would require scrubbing private contact information. Justin: I’m not sure I see an advantage, as the current version of the miniscule is comletely duplicated elsewhere on the website. Frithuric: It would provide an archive.
Aaradyn: Would an e-mail still go out?
Frithuric: Yes.
Donato: If we were to put the new miniscules on the website, it would be useful to put the historic ones up as well (with necessary redacting if needed).
Simona Bat Leon: Sir Mathias of Quintavia is planning to put in a bid for K&Q Rapier champs for Feb 15 or 25th. An attractive site has been found in Tyngsboro and technically therefore in Carolingia. They are requesting permission to use the site, per kingdom law. There is no request for monetary or co-run assistance, although of course help will be appreciated.
