Coronets Nobildonna Fiore Leonetta Bardi and Lord Frithuric Ulman:
Thank you everyone for falling leaves, it was a fantastic event on short notice. Thank you to Ruskva and team. The jousting was fantastic, and greatly improved the ambience. I think we should try to grab that date on the planning calendar and fill in an Autocrat later, so we can lock in the date and the site with equestrian.
Thank you to Pandaulf for the Thrown Weapon tournament, and we welcome Simon as the new Champion.
We had the Bi-Baronial beach bash, with smoking rocks, and that went well.
We did two ice cream socials over the summer, and we had at least 40 people at Kimball Farms. That was a longer social than usual, but it was great to see many people, including some less active members.
Baronial Armor championships are coming up shortly. We are looking at doing that at Towers practice the week before Crown (late Oct). This remains a practice, not a full event.
I would like float the idea of walking in a Pride Parade next year? Malagentia did so this year.
Eleanor please reach out to Frithuric.
Aaradyn: Has the date for the Heavy tournament been Published.
Officers:
Seneschal Lady Aaradyn Gyoot
Looks like we’ve survived Pennsic and the summer. Welcome to September everyone. A reminder we are now picking up our usual first Monday of the month Council schedule.
My term as Seneschal is coming to an end. Sugawara will be stepping into the role assuming she passes the vote of the Council. Please let me know if you are interested in taking the role as well, please let me know no later than noon on Oct 7th. The vote will occur at Nov council meeting, and December will be my last council as Seneschal.
If you have any questions about what it takes to be Seneschal, please reach out at the Seneschal e-mail. I will arrange a face to face meeting to discuss the role. I would say I spend 10-12 hours on an average week dealing with Baronial business. If this is a thing you want to do, we need to have a conversation about it.

Steward Lady Gudrun Thorvaldsdottir
A trend I’ve been noticing in Carolingian events is that we’re doing a lot more outdoor events, and fewer feast type events. Which means we’re getting more requests for popups and tables, and fewer requests for serving gear. I think it would be a good idea for the Barony to acquire a couple of pop-ups for use at events. And also the 6ft plastic folding tables for weather resistance.
Job lots presently has a “crazy deal” for popups for $199.99, and you get a coupon for the same ammount. The tables are available for 50, and weights for popups at $25. And pare down the feast gear.
Valerian: I agree with you that popups would be useful, and calls for them from the populace are awkward. I do think it’s worth spending the money for good steel frame ones.
If we’re going to pare down the feast stuff, some of it could come live with me as I’m likely the one who uses it the most.
Aaradyn: I think we’re looking at some research to determine what durable popups run.
Valerian: I can point to the brands.
Aaradyn: Valerian and Gudrun, please look into this and bring a proposal to the next council, and we can loop in Exchequer.
