There is a new kingdom wide variance in effect since Dec 1. Masking is required at all indoor events where the community level is high from the CDC website. (link) This does not prohibit masking indoors, so you are free to encourage, but not require masking at events. We are still waiting on clarification if homeowners count as site owners, and can require masking, but this is to be determined. If you have feedback, please let Aaradyn know.
Local variances are not being granted in preference to the new kingdom wide variance. We have the option to petition for a review, but there doesn’t seem likely to be any effect.

Carolingia 50 Year Lady Patience Faircloth:
Carolingia 50 year is on the kingdom calendar now.
Last month we talked about hosting EK equestrian champs at Carolingia 50 year. We have decided we will not be putting forth a bid for the champs at this time. This is subject to change if their highnesses request.
Eowyn- 50 year will be on the 52 ½ aniversary. It might be good to make sure this is noted in the documentation so we don’t mess up precedence versus say, BBM.

General announcements:
Justin: Arisia is happening (hopefully). It has strong Covid Protocols, up to date vaccination and full masking. We will be having the Renaissance ball Saturday 2-4. Come by and dance.
Her Seneschalship is in the art show.
Tasha: The build a bow workshop had an online workshop a week ago. We think we can get it around the $50 price point. These will not be super accurate target crossbows. Anyone who can make it to the makers space and help with gluing up components prior to the make and take would be appreciated, contact Tasha, and join the build a bow workshop group on facebook. A meeting date will be forthcoming.
After the bows, plans will be started for armor, timing TBD. Tasha is getting checked out on the milling machine and wood shop, so there may be more elaborate components.
