We are bordered by the Barony of Stonemarche to the north, the Shire of Quintavia to the west, and the Barony of Smoking Rocks to the south-east.

Carolingia has two geographic subgroups called Cantons.  These groups have meetings of their own and sponsor activities, but are still fully active members of the Barony.  Travel to a central location within the Barony can be difficult because of its geography, Greater Boston’s traffic, and the limitations of mass-transit.  Cantons make it easier for many people to participate closer to their home.

The Canton of Aschehyrst is geographically located in the westernmost portion of the Barony of Carolingia and contains the following modern places: Ashland , Concord, Dover, Framingham, Holliston, Medfield, Millis, Natick, Sherborn, Sudbury, Walpole, Wayland, and Weston.

Aschehyrst is currently dormant; however, its towns are still part of Carolingia.

The Canton of the Towers is geographically located in the northeastern portion of the Barony of Carolingia and contains the following modern places: Amesbury, Andover, Beverly, Billerica, Boxford, Burlington, Carlisle, Chelmsford, Danvers, Dracut, Dunstable, Essex, Everett, Georgetown, Gloucester, Groveland, Hamilton, Haverhill, Ipswich, Lawrence, Lowell, Lynn, Lynnfield, Malden, Manchester, Marblehead, Medford, Melrose, Merrimac, Methuen, Middleton, Nahant, Newbury, Newburyport, North Andover, North Reading, Peabody, Reading, Revere, Rockport, Rowley, Salem, Salisbury, Saugus, Stoneham, Swampscott, Tewksbury, Topsfield, Tyngsboro, Wakefield, Wenham, West Newbury, Westford, Wilmington, Winchester, and Woburn.

Towers members meet monthly to share and participate in projects ranging from cooking, sewing, woodcarving, arrow-making, and many fiber arts. You are invited to check out the Canton website, subscribe to their mailing list, and join them on Canton of the Towers Facebook Group.
